Preventing Psychological and Sexual Violence in Ski Instruction
Future Learning is proud to support the French Ski School in the development of a new e-learning module dedicated to preventing psychological and sexual violence within the ski instruction environment.
Understanding to Better Prevent
The module first addresses psychological violence, which may leave no visible marks but has very real consequences. Hurtful remarks, humiliation, mockery, or repeated exclusion can deeply affect victims’ emotional balance, learning capacity, and professional performance. Recognizing these warning signs is the first essential step toward effective prevention.
It also covers sexual misconduct and sexual violence, including sexist or sexual remarks, persistent unwanted invitations, sexual harassment, inappropriate messages or images, exhibitionism, coercion, unwanted physical contact, and more severe offenses.
Such behaviors are strictly punished by law and constitute serious violations of fundamental human rights and personal integrity.
The Role and Responsibilities of Sports Instructors
The course highlights the core missions of sports instructors: teaching, supervision, safety, and compliance with regulations.
It clarifies legal obligations — including integrity requirements — outlines circumstances that may aggravate sanctions (such as cases involving minors), and explains the legal consequences of misconduct.
An Immersive and Engaging Learning Experience
To ensure strong engagement and practical understanding, the module includes:
-
immersive animated scenarios,
-
debriefings led by a psychologist,
-
knowledge checks and simulation exercises,
-
practical and legal guidance.
This new training tool aims to raise awareness, strengthen prevention, and promote a safe, respectful learning environment for all.
